So its finally over- both Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor have made their red carpet appearances at the Cannes Film Festival this year. There has been so much speculation about their red carpet appearance that now when it’s done with, we thought of having a look at who among the two fared better at it.

Sonam Kapoor is know be to a fashionista and has always impressed the media with her dressing sense and style. The designers swear by her fashion sense and it was no wonder that she totally rocked the Cannes red carpet last year. However the story was a bit different his year, with Sonam deciding to wear a black Alexander McQueen outfit for her red carpet appearance. Even though she looked pretty, the gown didn’t do much for her. Also the make up looked loud and we missed her signature smile.

On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai faced a lot of criticism about her weight before coming to Cannes this year. However she silenced her critics by walking the red carpet with a lot of confidence and grace. Her first appearance in Abu-Sandeep wasn’t really a winner however she looked lovely in the Elie Saab gown which suited her perfectly.

It’s tough to choose one, but we will give this one to Aishwarya! Sonam could have done so much better. Have a look and tell us who do you think looks better on the red carpet- Aishwarya or Sonam?
